Comments Thread For: Petkovic Gets Disputed Nod, Airich Wins By KO

German boxing strikes again! At Mehrzweckhalle in Obertraubling, Bayern, former cruiserweight world title challenger Alexander Petkovic (41-4-4, 20 KOs) continued his pitiful comeback with an extremely controversial win over 40-year old Senegalese Cisse Salif (24-18-2, 21 KOs) in what proved to be the most horrible officiating since Russell's Mora "night of miracles" in Joseph Agbeko-Abner Mares showdown. Petkovic won by way of a disqualification in the sixth round of the bout, which displayed infamous German officiating at its very worst.

        Please.

The Germans robbed Steve Cunningham as recently as 2 weeks ago when they stopped a fight based on Yoan Pablo Hernandez's cuts that weren't even bleeding, much less getting into his eyes.

Cunningham was taking over the fight and they simply stopped it for no reason to give their man the title.

        Sounds familiar right?

It's not just Germany though, it's any European country or even Russia. A traveling fighter will never get a fair shake there.

When Chambers beat Dimitrenko from pillar to post and dropped him they gave him a split decision in a fight that he won clearly by at least 6 points.

It's a joke over there. Nobody should fight in Germany unless they are 0-12 and need a pay day.

It had to be rigged. No ref could be as bad as that guy was unless he was paid. Petrovic was diving more than a Barcelona midfielder on the attack

It's funny that Airich was fighting on this card too.

              Boxing sucks the big one.

The referee in this fight judged nine of Ottke's title fights, including the split decision "win" over Charles Brewer that "won" him the title. So he is a veteran of the old Sauerland school of corruption
