Klitschko-Lewis was the last lineal great hvywt fight but Klitscko-Sanders was dramatic and awesome and so was W. Klitschko-Peter. Besides that the brothers K have had a firm grip on all of their fights. P.S. Wlad is who made Peter punchy with that left hook that almost dropped him at the end of the first encounter.

Granted, it was a good fight, but nowhere in the neighborhood of Vitali-Lewis. Sorry.

it was fun , that's it.

both guys were sloppy. vit because he's not that great anyway and lewis because he was old , past it and out of shape.

it was one of the last meaningful fights at heavy that was fun , that's why people remember it.

i mean all the meaningful fights since have been emmanuel steward trained klit fights.

          lewis , wlad , vit.

3 great fighters who were exciting to watch that emmanuel steward turned into boring fighters.

emmanuel steward ruined the heavyweight division.
This post failed on so many levels it's sad.

Most noticeable was the fact that Steward never trained Vitali. EVER.

Vitali said he goes over certain things with Emanuel, but will never leave Fritz because hes like a father figure.

The Lewis-Klitschko fight was also for a "paper belt". Lewis held only the WBC. The IBO doesn't really count.

It was for the lineal and recognized title though.

OK, and? Vitali's style has nothing to do with Emanuel Steward. He's more refined on defense due to maturity. He's still offensive minded as ever as was evident in him throwing 1k+ punches trying to get Kevin Johnson out of there.

Hardly any great heavyweight fights these days, the last one was Liakhovich-Brewster but that was years ago. Problem is all the good matchups under the Klits never happen.
