Would anyone have beat Floyd at 130 lbs???

Azumah Nelson, Alexis Arguello (Don't favor Arguello's chances but he always stands a chance), Salvador Sanchez, Sandy Saddler (At least in his time where he could get away with his style), Julio Cesar Chavez, Willie Pep etc

Too many great boxers at 130 to say he definitely beats them all, no one is unbeatable. He's at least even odds with them all though.

You may be the biggest Floyd hater on this site. Manny arguably lost to Marquez at 130, who was about 2-3 years removed from his prime but still good...I think Floyd would UD Pac at 130 and 135. Pac would have good shot at 140 and 147 (it would be 50/50), because Floyd has lost a bit of his speed as he's gone up in weight, it's only natural. At 154, not 150, Floyd would beat Pac in a close fight, as Pac has never truly fought at 154 before.

Floyd also didn't truly fight at 154, he weighed in at 150 versus DLH for their 154lbs fight, and weighed 148lbs (same as Pac did on the night he fought Marg) during the fight.

If Pac/Floyd happened at 154, we all know Pac wouldn't weigh in near 154 anyways. More like 144-148, Floyd maybe 147-150. They're not that different in weight at this point.


As for the OP, I'd give Duran and Chavez a shot at beating Floyd at 130. If Castillo gave Mayweather hell at 135, I don't see how Duran/Chavez wouldn't do any better at 130.

Good points, and at least an objective post from a person with some knowledge. Floyd would probably weigh 150, and Pac would weight like 148 orso. So, it'd really be more like a 150 CW fight I guess.

I give Chavez a better chance than I do Arguello, due to his intelligent pressure and wonderful ring cutting skills.

Camacho is a very live underdog. Nelson is a live dog as well.

Chavez is the only one of these I'd make a favorite over Mayweather. I think Floyd has a better chance at 140, and then 130, than at 135 against Chavez.

JCC was amazing against El Chapo, I think he peaked that night.

I would favor Chavez and Camacho over Floyd at 130(135 and 140 too). I think Barrera would give Floyd trouble also

You see that is the version of Floyd I respect. He could've had a slight chance of lasting an entire fight with Pacquiao. But that is the Floyd that I respected, the manly version, the one who had testicles.
