Everyone Has A Plan Against Hopkins!

Then they get a Boxing lesson. Winky Wright got his painful lesson from BHop. You need an advisor from one who handled BHOp and nobody did.

Jones clearly handled Hopkins in their first fight.

dawson is gonna try for the calzaghe plan of outworking hopkins.

that's a tough sell considering dawson gets lazy in the ring

i thought jones and calzaghe handled him pretty well...

and winky wright got a "lesson" from hopkins? lol...outside of jones and calzaghe, who better to get advice about hopkins from? i saw that fight...it was a close fight that went hopkins way, with the smaller, lethargic looking winky pressing the action all fight, even fought on the inside regularly...with hopkins hugging, headbutting, and using garbage weardown tactics...even with all that, a lot of ppl thought winky should have got the nod....

reading what dawson has to say this close to the fight, i think he is ready to go with the right frame of mind, and the right team behind him for the task....if he does for real, then we finally got a tough, competitive fight involving hopkins...not one of those lame one-sided beatdowns of a smaller man cats like natas202 drools over...

thats why i say hopkins is so overrated by his fans its pathetic

GTFOH w/ that nonsense...when have u ever seen winky look that sloppy? Reaching & lunging, pawing tryna find Bernard?? stop it. Winky usually has an air tight defense. Bernard went to work on wink....& did it w/ his legs. Bernard was the bigger man but stayed on the move & attacked on the inside wen opportunites came. Also...the only man that can say he handled bernard truly was RJJ..Calzaghe is known for throwing 100 punches PER ROUND. In their fight Bernard controlled the action so much joe was limited to roughly 600. That's 50% normal output! I suspect he's ready for a similar assault if chad brings it. Bernard & floyd are 2 guys who somehow use defense to make guys abandon their plans to overwhelm them w/ punches. I don't know how but they have that ability to force people into their fight no matter wut. Nobody but RJJ handled bernard hopkins....he was green then & not yet reached his prime. nicetry tho.

Also. Chad may be in a diff mind frame but I can't put stock into any athlete who has to wait on a certain guy to get him motivated. He's said Scully's name far too many times. My question is what happens when something happens they couldn't foresee & scully doesn't have the answer........chad is ****ed.

how you gonna drown a dude who swims without getting wet?!?....Chad will come forward and press the action....cool...checkmate, game over.....easy fight...he's not a workrate cat like Calzaghe....if he came to play chess, he makes it close....but by falling for the talk and fighting outta character will make this a cake walk!!!....I can'T wait to go @ my dude dj up there

Dawson really needs to fight with a great urgency in this fight more so than he has in the past. But the thing with Bernard is, he is so versatile that if you go into survival mode like Tarver did he will dominate you. So it's a double edged sword I guess. Dawson could get wreckless and Hopkins will beat him that way or if he doesn't throw any punches at all I see Bernard exploiting that as well.

One thing I will say, is that as of late Hopkins has been the more exciting fighter which is why if this fight is boring we will know who's fault it is.

Hopkins is being overated abit, he beat pascal because of he was able to outbox him easily and add to the fact that pascal doesnt throw much. This wont be the case against dawson.

If chad is his usual (non-pascal) self then he wins this fight easily in my opinion, chad is technically gifted.... dude can box and he has a good work rate. His only flaw is his mental game but he knows the magnitude of this fight and what it means to him whereas against pascal he probably felt he would win and just saw jean as an ordinary opponent.

Hopkins had been ducking this fight for like 2 or 3 yrs and on saturday you will see why.
