    Is this true ?

Tommy the Hitman Hearns and Chris Eubank were going to fight eachother in a non-championship 10-rounder on a Hamed or Lewis undercard , but just before the fight was announced they did public sparring sessions at the Lennox Lewis gymnasium in London in 1999 and Hearns apparently owned Eubank so easily that Eubank decided not to fight him !! also aparently Hearns owned Howard Eastman there too , there was Eubank, Eastman, Hearns, Eastmans trainer Ronnie Davies (Eubank former trainer), Manny Steward, nd the guy who worked in Eubanks corner for Thompson fight on HBO Dennis Andries all therew

    Did anybody see this ?

I know that at a Manchester restaurant after Naz beat Paul Ingle there was a table consisting of George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Emmanuel Steward, Thomas Hearns, Dennis Andries, Chris Eubank and Naz all eating and drinking wine until 4am (apart from Naz, who didn't drink).

And on the Kronk site back in the day they said that Chris and Tommy were going to fight - http://web.archive.org/web/200001291...ws/eubank.html

          Eubank in taxi bust-up

          Report from London

London, England- Former middleweight champion of the world Chris Eubank will face criminal charges if found guilty of kicking a taxi cab in rage.

Taxi driver Lionel Price, 51, claims that on Tuesday morning, he was driving his taxi down the famous Buckingham Palace Road and when he failed to stop for the flamboyant ex-champ, then Eubank just started kicking the car.

Price, a cab-driver for 29 years, got out of the car and confronted Eubank, the two argued until Police arrived at 9:20 am.

A British Transport Police spokesman said "The allegation is that Mr. Eubank kicked the door of the taxi causing a small amount of damage, and he has been reported for the offence."

Apparently Price's taxi was not on duty when the incident took place, he was delivering clothes to a rental company.

Price estimated that the damaged would cost about $400 to fix, he has only had his cab for 3 weeks.

Transport police have referred the matter to the Metropolitan force, which will decide whether to send the details to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Eubank is still being considered as a possible opponent for our own Thomas "Hitman" Hearns ...more on that tommorrow.

          ---------------

          LOL!

          Chris Eubank's a P I M P!

But it was good natured so I dont know if Eubank was just trying to be nice to him or what ..

Sparring while in friendly terms, no-careers at stake, mainly for exhibition...I dunno. It's possible Hearns took it more seriously than Eubanks or Eubanks didn't want negative speculation should he lose (coz people always will bring up the "What if Eubanks fought Hearns in their prime)....so who knows?

Eubank that fought Benn in 1990 Vs Hearns that fought Hagler in 1985

                That would be cool.

For anybody to go right at that Eubank from the start would be foolish ..
