Andre Ward vs. Bernard Hopkins in 2012???

If Hopkins beats Dawson on Saturday (and I predict he will), as well as if Ward beats Froch in December, would you want to see a showdown between Ward and Hopkins?????

I would only like to see this if Hopkins maintains the high skill level he has displayed his last few fights of course. If Hopkins beats Dawson (who I never thought was really THAT good) and looks like crap, I would have zero interest in that fight. Of course I would love to see Sergio Martinez-Andre Ward, but Martinez will NEVER attempt to fight a guy above him in weight, that's a fact.

So, assumming both win, if Ward can't get a fight with Martinez or Bute, would you like to see a Ward-Hopkins bout next year?

YES...this would be gr8....altho best scenario would be it go to a draw...then Hopkins hands over the reigns to Ward and Ward dominates for years to come..a passing of the torch with neither losing the fight

I don't think it will happen unless Ward is willing to move up to 175.

I think a Froch fight is way more likely for Hopkins. He plans on moving up after the tournament i'm sure.

I can't see Hopkins fighting Froch, who Ward will have beaten though.

Ward, if I am not mistaken, fought at 175 in either the Olympics or as an amateur I think. One or the other, I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure he did.

I don't think anyone beats Ward from 168-175. If he beats Froch, he will have beaten everyone at 168 besides Bute and Dirrell. I think he beats both. At 175, I think Ward can take Hopkins, Pascal, Dawson, Cleverly.

Ward-hopkins would be the biggest bout for Ward, if Sergio Martinez is willing to go up to 164-168 to fight him. In my mind, if Sergio can't get the mega fight at 154 with Mayweather or Pacquiao, can't get a fight wtih Cotto at 154, or can't get a fight with Chavez Jr...he should fight Andre Ward. Both are top P4P fighters, only one weight class apart, it makes sense.

I like the other Middleweights like Sturm, Macklin, Lee, Pirog...but NONE pose a real serious threat to beating Sergio AT ALL.

I honestly see Ward fighting Bute next year before moving up to LHW to fight the king who will either be Hopkins or Dawson.

He wnt miss a chance at Bute, a draw in his own right and probably the last obstacle to truely be the king at 168. Money, legacy, bragging rights for both in that fight imo. It almost has togo down.

If Froch isn't decisively beaten against Ward then he will.

Ward will likely get Bute to fight him next. He also showed interest in rematching Kessler to clear up any doubts in their previous fight. There's a Dirrell fight out there also.

Ward has too many options at 168 right now. It's very unlikely Ward moves up.
