    Amateur middleweight standout Chris Pearson has inked a five year contract with powerful boxing manager Al Haymon. Pearson is slated to make his pro debut on November 26th in Cincinnati, where super featherweight Adrian Broner will headline at the U.S. Bank Arena. Pearson is a U.S Middleweight National Champion and during the recent "World Series of Boxing" competition, he decisioned 2008 gold medal winner Bakhyt Sarsekbayev of Kazakhstan. Haymon plans to use Golden Boy Promotions to push Pearson.

      he's a an athletic quick southpaw , watched some of his fights . He never beat sakserbaev or yamaguchi (brazilian from mexican team) , california judges beat them . Haymon and golden boy will be moving him over dead bodies , as they usually do . Their marketing strategy is killing boxing as a sport , just keep away real boxers from theirs . Hope everybody remembers how daniel jacobs was first given title shot (they stripped sergio martinez) and then was destroyed by russian nobody Dmitry Pirog on HBO .

        Yeah, he's a black guy from Cincinnati. He's pretty good. He is the national golden gloves champion for this year (he beat a guy from our gym in the final). He went to the Olympic team qualifiers but came up short... Only bad thing I can think of is that he did start late. I think he started at 17 and is now about 21-22.

          pearson is black a good kid but whats with al haymon only signing black fighters ???all he gets them boring fighters on hbo kery davis al haymon brother connection

            Where are you guys getting that he only signs black fighters? He manages and managed an awful lot of boxers.
