When did Schaefer start clinging tightly to Floyd's nuts?

It's been very apparent recently, in the way he took Floyd's side over Vic over the cheap shot controversy (even though Vic is the bona fide GBP fighter). And then you have him passing Floyd the hanky to dab his tears during the post fight press conference.

Look at this vid - he's comparing Floyd to Ali, saying he's one of the best ever, and even using Floyd's line about JMM being too small for Floyd but not for Manny etc.

He is currently the star attraction for GBP, and Schaeffer is his man in the company so it his his job to keep Floyd working with them.

Without Floyd currently they would be stuck at the very high end until and hopefully for them Canelo can take baton. If he can't they will be catering to Floyd for a minute or GBP will fade quite a bit because they will be out of the high end business which has been so good to them with Oscar and then with Floyd.

    So for a while.

I understand Floyd makes money for GPB but the love-in between Floyd and Schaefer has just gotten more intense recently. It's just slightly odd.

Also, it makes you wonder how much GBP get out of it, if Schaefer is riding him so hard. I guess Floyd's boasts about keeping all the profits can't be that true after all.

I don't find it odd when you consider the whole beef with Oscar, Schaefer has to balance that out. It would kind of suck to be Schaefer but he actually seems happy, I know I certainly wouldn't want to deal with Floyd like that it would be maddening.

GBP gets their name up in lights so they can say to up and coming guys (or even veterans) look what we can do for you. They might not make much money but they can keep their staff together and keep growing building their brand.

He is Golden Boys biggest money maker, and Schaeffer has to balance out Oscar talking **** about Floyd and embarrassing the company with all his random, unprofessional twitter stuff. Richard doesn't take anything personally; he doesnt give a **** about boxing, that's not his job. His job to to grow the company, which is a lot easier when they're getting yearly chunks of Floyd's (and Mannys!) PPV money.

As Dan Rafael pointed out the other day, Richard was too "classy" to be involved in that ridiculous, pointless conference call about the Ortiz fight.

Floyd is a freelance boxer who has a great relationship with GBP. Floyd hires these dudes to promote his fights but I still do not understand why he still needs them.

The main question should be, Who is this Al Haymon dude Floyd keeps on mentioning? What on earth does he even do to get all the credit. Aparently Haymon is some powerful dude in the boxing business and he has a great relationship with HBO so why does Floyd need the services of GBP?

Just to add something I noticed during the fight when Floyd 2 pieces Victor, you can see Richard Schaefer in the background turn around to someobody sat behind him with a huge smile on his face. Now if one of your fighters gets KO'd in a somewhat controversial manner then shouldn't you be screaming your head off with a lot of anger?

I think people on in general are hate floyd so much they overlook his skill. I'm not saying Floyd is Ali but people have to understand Ali only was a warrior and took all those fights he did after his jail sentence because he was broke. I like Ali but if Ali fought in today day and age he would milk the game just like berto, may, manny, and like sergio is trying to do. Boxing is a dangerous sport and to many hits to the head leaves u slurring ur words like Shane or shaking like Ali, that's why even tho I would like guys like Haye and Kahn to fight longer I don't blame them for getting their money and knowing when it's time to hang them up

                  schaefer is a tool.

floyd makes more money for GBP than any other boxer in their stable.

floyd always makes a big stink about how GBP doesn't treat him right, so schaefer has to become floyd's monkey to stop floyd from going over to don king.
