If anyone can testify to the human contradiction that is Freddie Roach, it's Robert Garcia. Roach and Garcia had a little debacle on Nov. 13th of last year. Freddie 'Mr. let the commission do their jobs' Roach protested to the TSAC to give Margarito a random drug test right before the ring walk. I found it befitting that the officials from the TSAC told Roach to shut up, and let them do their jobs.

Clearly Roach is hating because Donaire is a very good fighter. I think technically he is better than Manny and in my opinion would knock Gamboa out.

why would roach be hating for? gamboa is not roach's fighter. people on here is to funny, u cant give out your own opinion without being accused of being a hater or dont know ***** about boxing.

Roach should take a better look at the Sidorenko fight cause the 1st time Donaire knocked down Sidorenko(& was saved by the bell) was with a straight RIGHT hand punch & he ended the fight in the 4th with that SAME EXACT PUNCH!! & the fact that he lands that left hook constantly doesn't mean his opponents or their trainers are dumb or otherwise, cause I'm pretty sure his opponents & their team are fully aware of his deadly left hook.. But what Roach doesn't see or just doesn't want to admit is that Donaire sets that punch up perfectly & when his opponent least expects it, it's already in his face!! & Donaire does have a very good right hand punch & he combines them very well..

good post. donair is a true student of the game. when he talks boxing, you can tell he is not just going in and throwing punches. he does talk about setting up his opposition to land his shots. he is a dam good boxer and he has ko power. this dude is the real deal. have to admit im a huge fan of nonito.

Nonito Jr got his foundation from his dad Nonito Sr. He was already a champion when Robert Garcia handled him.

the Gamboa thing is just an opinion.

Donaire is an excellent fighter, and Garcia is a good, solid trainer. If he can revamp Margarito's career with an impressive win over Cotto, it would be a good add to a solid year.

And why did he request the test? Oh that's right, because Margarito was ON CAMERA with a cup of coffee and a bottle of ephedrine was visible in his locker room. The whole point was that the commissioner wasn't doing his job, he just watched Marg.


One thing Roach said that is correct, is that Donaire's opponents don't seem to have an answer for his left hook.
