Comments Thread For: Povetkin and Helenius Doubleheader on December 3rd?

BoxingScene.com's Per Ake Persson previously reported that unbeaten heavyweight contender Robert Helenius (16-0, 11KOs) was going to return on December 3rd in Helsinki, Finland. According to reports in Russia, WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (22-0, 15KOs) is possibly going to fight on the same card. It was widley reported that Povetkin was going to fight on December 17th. Povetkin's opponent is still unknown. No deal has been reached, although Hasim Rahman and Evander Holyfield have been named as potential opponents.

I hope it's Rahman not Holyfield.

Many will disagree, but age 39 Rahman is actually a respectable choice for Povetkin, because of his high ranking by the WBA.

Holyfield is 48 and has looked very faded in his past two fights.

Povetkin-Holyfield and Dimitrenko-Helenius on the same card would be great. If it doesn't happen, Rahman may fight either Helenius or Povetkin?
