Not Norton either, he dereves it and I was @ the 3rd bout w/Clay@ Yankee stadium and will go to my grave knowing Ken won it w/all the devestating body shots he landed, but the judges were in that ali flash, grab and glib and didn't score it right. NY and Vegas judges the worst.

Out of all undeserving fighter that don't belong in the BHOF, he chooses these five! There are probably 30 other fighters that truly don't belong in the BHOF, these five aren't any of them.

Frazier deserves to be in the HOF & he didn't get his credit for beating Oscar Bonavena, Jerry Quarry, etc but Ali got a lot for beating the same guys. He didn't even really get any credit for beating Ali the first time & he schooled him.
It's sad that he gets remembered as "the other guy" & it seems to never end.

But I guess Lyle must have had other reasons for putting him on the list. I met him last year at the Venetian, he was asking for a ridiculous amount of money just to hear him talk for an hour. Not wanting to pay I waited for him at the entrance, when he arrived he was anything but charming he didn't stop for pics & autographs & practically told us if we weren't spending he didn't want anything to do with us. Still it was hard to be mad at him, he was in bad health (poor speech & in a wheelchair) & I knew he had money troubles (like the government unfairly taking away millions of dollars in real estate from him & his unsuccessful lawsuit against the Indian Casino that used his image without his permission). HOF don't pay the bills, maybe if Lyle was mad about not getting an autograph from him he could offer him some $$$ & I'm sure he'd trade in his HOF plaque. Otherwise he definitely stays.

I like Joe Frazier but his article does have a point on some of the names mentioned. I can see what he's talking about. Overall good article.
