He could but the investors that would make this a career payday for Martinez are in Russia. They obviously wouldn't invest the millions of dollars if it's in america.

If it's in America it's all HBO putting up the money. How much would they approve for this fight total? $2 million? $2.5 million maybe?

haha that's cute but false. Nice try though! Makes it even worse that Martinez and Pirog are in the SAME weight division as well. kinda like how calzaghe was in the same weight class with Ottke and never fought him, despite both of them having 21 title defenses at the same time. Pretty embarrassing actually.

Martinez has worked too hard to go to Russia and risk his belt against corrupt judges and referees. If those Russian investors are investing alot of money into this fight, it wouldn't be out of place that there would be some room to invest in some of those officials.
