    Robert Helenius

The plan is for Robert Helenius to headline a Sauerland card on December 3.

An offer was sent in late September to Alexander Dimitrenko, but I don't think he's taking the fight. I read something about Hasim Rahman being contacted as well. But at this time there has been no opponent announced.

The media in Finland has apparently reported that Helenius does not plan on fighting a Klitschko until early 2013. His management see him as a work in progress, and want him to have several fights before going for a world title.

What do you think of Helenius? Will he be a HW champion someday?

I'm impressed. He'll definitely be a world champion someday.

Probably be a titleholder. He's very strong, but has some flaws.

Probably never be a titleholder, because he has serious flaws.

Definitely not, he's not very good and will never be HW champion.

I'm pretty sure he can beat Povetkin right now for the WBA regular title. Overall no, I don't think he's ready, and I don't think he can beat any one of the Klitschkos.

I'm not impressed. But when the Klitschko's leave (and Haye and Adamek for that matter) there aren't many guys out there. I think he can pick up a belt sometime. Although he really hasn't been tested yet, I'm more impressed by Price.

Btw, Helenius was a commentator for the Haye-Wlad fight on Swedish Television, and talked about the sparring he did with Haye etc and he actually picked Haye to beat Wlad. This is kind of a long shot, but maybe he didn't do too good against Haye in sparring and therefore picked him to beat Wlad. I don't know.

Again, he's okay but I'm not really impressed by him. Looked very poor before the stoppage in his last fight.

I'm very impressed. Helenius has a couple of things you can't teach: killer instinct and heavy hands. Watch his face when he's finishing off Liakhovich: pure bloodlust. He's stopped three former heavyweight champions: Brewster, Liakhovich and Sam Peter. And he's still a young pup when you consider that Vitali is totally dominant at age 40. No hurry at all for him to face a Klitschko -- Helenius can refine his craft and can afford to wait.

It will be interesting to see how Glazkov does against Sam Peter on Nov 4, and compare that to Helenius vs. Peter.

Helenius is not yet the finished product, but he's very talented and he appears to be improving with nearly every fight. He needs to work on his cardio.

I personally think hes absolutely *****e. He has genuine power and thats about it. He aint winning a title as long as the Klitschkos have control of them.

Yes, conditioning is something he can work on and something within his control. So that is good.

But the killer instinct and the heavy hands are gifts from the boxing gods. If Helenius can get the discipline part down re training, he will go very far.

I'm not real familiar with Glazkov, but Sam Peter is still a tough out for anyone in the division.

I love this guy; he's one of more promising hw prospects I've seen in years. He's got the size, the reach, he seems to be fundamentally solid and he's got that "killer instinct" as was stated already. Helenius likes to mix it up with his opponents as well and as a result his style is very fan friendly...

Also, I love how the way his team is bringing him through the ranks. He's facing good competition and he's not fighting bums; and for a 16-0 prospect he's got a better resume than some more established contenders like Chris Arreola, Tony Thompson, etc...

Rahman is a yesterday man now, Dimitrenko would be a better match up although Perez and Ortiz are the two guys I'd like to see matched up with Hellenius. If he knocked out either of them I'd really take note.

its great to have some fresh blood in the HW division, but it's very hard to assess him based on past fights. With so few boxers at an elite level at HW (you can safely argue there's only two, and no prizes for who they are) that unless a fight with one of the Ks materialises then i for one will reserve judgement, after all, i made that mistake with a certain Mr Haye
