It's amazing what they DON'T seem to see or don't WANT to see.
Everytime Floyd counters or lands or Ortiz misses, they talk as if Ortiz landed. Just one example is at the 12 seconds [left] mark of the end of round 3. Ortiz throws a left, Floyd quickly shoots a right before Ortiz's left gets there, it lands, Ortiz stumbles, and Lampley says "Gooood left cross by Ortiz, he's quick enough to fight!" That left got no where above the chest line because Floyd already knocked Ortiz off with his timed right hand.
That's is just an example, but it was happening all night. Some say that Ortiz was "coming on" or doing well. Well Hatton and Mosley were "doing well" at the beginning. Floyd settles into fights and chops guys down. It's amazing what the commentators don't see or want to see. And what they were seeing is a very relaxed Floyd who didn't need to bounce around on his toes, throws 5-8 punch speedy combinations because he is relaxed to just pace himself, miss a few, land a few, but not take any damage to eventually break Ortiz down for a late stoppage or UD.
Then when Lampley says "Fans of BOTH fighters stand in appreciation", Merchant says "Seldom seen in a Mayweather fight"
When people talk about Floyd's quickness, his detractors think and expect speedy, motion blurred combinations that "look" fast. They don't realize that Floyd's quickness is not in looking flashy like a Leonard or Jones. It's in his timing, pacing and distance. He misses like anyone else. He focuses on fighting relaxed and using what I like to call a "relaxed speed"
Their "hope" is Manny who will be beaten simply.
