Hopkins has had a great and really unique boxing career -- he's an amazing athlete who has been getting by on guile, ring smarts and somewhat dirty tactics for a long time now, due to age and eroding skills -- time for him to toddle off into the sunset because he's one of the most boring fighters out there these days....

He always has been boring and almost unwatchable. Nobody knew him before the Trinidad fight, in whixh he had a tremendous advantage of size and the fact that after 9/11 and the postponment he went back home to train, whilst Trinidad stayed in NY helping clear rubble.

Surprising usual for this writer these days, he used to sometimes produce an excellent article. But at least in one way we are lucky..........it was camparatively short.

Have it your own way if it'll make you happy. I have no inclination to become involved in .....
"you did"..."no I didn't"..."Yes you did" games. I repeated facts as published at the time and after. No objective person can make bald statements and assert that they are factual, without taking into account the circumstances and upheavals going on at the time. That is too simplistic and unreal.

i really dont think that was the reason for b-hop beating tito. oscar discovered that tito has to set his feet in order to gain the leverage to throw those fantastic bombs. so b-hop simply kept tito from being able to get into position to throw his bombs. oscar set the blue print to beat tito. and had the fight been postponed the out come would still be the same IMO. and i like most thought tito would sit hopkins down. don king already had titos nome on the trophy. so when b-hop won, he told him the trophy was not on site. to give him time to take titos name off and add b-hops.
