I don't expect it to do that well. Who says that the fight deserves to be on PPV...After Hop beat Pascal and Dawson comes off a not so impressive victory...Guerrero MAidana would do better in PPV numbers.

its nothing negative at all, its just a sad reality that todays fans are more worried about PPV#s and a fighters purse than the actual fights, I mean why cant a rican just come here and discuss the fights why we got to talk about whos making what and how many PPV hook ups they sold?

We all have the choice of which threads we enter and post in...

As for why people are interested, in a way its part of the game. Whos the biggest name? Whos drawing in the fans? Not just whos winning but who is the top dog in the publics eye? Its another way of determining what is percieved as a strong match up, or a mismatch.. Just interesting imo.

Its just something else to talk about. I think we agree that its very odd that people get so emotionally invested in these topics but I cant speak for them. Some odd folks around these parts lol. To me its just conversation and another part of the game.

Avoid the threads that talk about numbers then, you sound like a bitch, and you probably are a bitch too.

Sports fans talk about how much a fighter is getting every single time. People complain about how much A-Rod makes, people talk about how much Lebron makes, Tiger Woods, etc. The media puts these numbers out for a reason. Stop being a god damn cavewoman on her period and get with the times. "Todays fans are more worried about PPV numbers" Lol wtf, knowing PPV numbers and what a fighters draw, can help knowing what fights can be done, and why fights didn't happen. I lurk here every day, seeing you complain and whine about everything in every single thread...the shit you whine about is just cringe worthy. It doesn't matter, I'm looking forward to it.

The only thing the promotion and the fighters should concern themselves with is, will they get more revenue back than they put into promoting it.

I don't see a 24/7, or any extra marketing. And HBO themselves isn't offering the fighters a set amount of money for the fight, like they do to Andre Berto for example.

It's just a way for the fighters to get paid.
