What are your thoughts about Vinny Pazienza?

I'm kind of curious as to what the general opinion is regarding Vinny. How do you remember him like? What do you think of him as a fighter and his career? What are your opinions and thoughts on him?

The thing is I am watching a documentary of Jedi Mind Tricks and some videos and Vinny seems to really respect Pazienza for being a warrior and such a tough fighter so I was wondering if he was regarded in a similar light by the overall boxing community.

Anything would be appreciated punky boys.

Vinny was a warrior with tons of heart and has a decent resume aswell.

His performance in the 3rd fight against Haugen was awesome and definitely my favorite. Even when he was getting his butt kicked by Jones he still wanted to fight and even taunted Jones that was testament to how much heart Vinny has. Hell of a fighter.

I thought he fought RJJ better than James Toney. Atleast PAZ, the lil work he was able to do, was a lot better than the overall effort JT put on when he fought RJJ

Anyway, here's how I sum up PAZ, A light-hitting, talented, tough as nails lightweight. Who 'roided up and became a light-hitting, tough as nails, middleweight, lmao

He was a solid boxer! Hahaha but it's kinda lame that he DUBBED HIMSELF "paz man" once Pacquiao got big. . . Haha seriously - he goes around now calling himself "Paz man". . . To have a nickname - U HAVE TO HAVE IT DUBBED ON YOU! You can't "dub yourself'!

I though that he called himself "The Pazmanian Devil". He tough and game, but I never forget how much he hated Dana Rosenblatt, that he hit him on the break and KO'd him. The ref let it go instead of DQing him. Then they had a rematch, and Pazienza made everyone know how much he hated Rosenblatt and what he was going to do to him. He fought dirty but Rosenblatt got a clear decision. He was the boxer and Pazienza was the fighter.

lol that's the thing - he WAS pazmanian devil - and that's legit! but AFTER HE RETIRED - just here recently when pac started getting big - he started calling himself PAZ MAN. . . I'm friends on facebook with him and everytime he leaves a post he ends it with "paz man". . and he will refer to himself in third person as paz man.

Always entertaining and was a solid fighter at 135-140.

The Tasmanian Devil was always must watch TV.
