    Boxing fan expo???

One of the reaaons the ufc is a rapidly growing company is their interaction with fans. On the site of every ppv is a fan expo where fans can get autographs and pictures with fighterfighters, trainers, and ring girls as well as clinics and seminars with top trainers to help improve the game of young hopefuls and casual fans alike.

Why cant boxing take a similar approach to at least the 2-3 biggest ppvs each year?? It would surely attract both old and new fans.

Well you would have to think it would benefit boxing more lending a superbowl week feel for mayweather and pacquiao fights.

There are usually boxing related activities before Floyd and Manny fights in Vegas, but nothing as central and organized like the UFC fan fests.

This last time before Floyd/Ortiz, there was an autograph session of some of the ATG heavyweights in the lobby at the MGM: it had Ken Norton, Earnie Shavers, and Joe Frazier in attendance taking pictures and signing stuff(for a fee). Still cool tho, and a crowd was there gathered to watch.

-Simply combinding something like this and having other current popular boxers rotate in the autograph booth all day would keep crowds there

-have some unique video/picture booths with classic fights, fights of the main eventers who will fight that weekend, and more info about ALL boxers especially those from the company who is promoting the fight. and maybe old fighters giving stories of their favorite fights for 30 mins a day.

-there is ALREADY a ring setup inside the MGM lobby before every big fight - a public seminar from a pro boxer in the daytime would be awesome, and i know people would stop to watch, take pictures, and get interested in what was going on

            - have displays of old fight posters, ring worn trunks and ring robes, gloves, hand casts, etc.

in other words, just make is all about BOXING - there is so much history to it, anyone can get interested looking at all the great stuff that is possible to show fans. whoever is promoting the fight should be running their most popular fighters out there for the public to get to know.

the best one ive seen ever of this was before OScar/Bhop....there was a couple of huge boxing buses that had all types of cool memorabilia of Oscar and Bhop you could go through, video, pictures, gloves, etc...it had people going all weekend.

Right....but with the scale of boxing's biggest ppv events much bigger than mma you dont think the sport would benefit from say a top rank fan expo on the week leading up to pac-marquez with seminars by jack loew and nacho beristain for kids where the likes of mike tyson and jcc sr who are in nearby booths can also drop by and give little hints???

and boxing isn't with there gagillion belts and nationalistic names as promotions? Let's face it,boxing promotes itself more with in IT'S OWN industry, not outside of the box.TS is right, they don't interact with fans they rather take they're money then spending extra on expos, clinics etc.I dislike mma greatly but let's face it boxing has to do a complete overhaul on the promotional side.
