IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris "Thunder" Cloud appeared on the most recent edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com's official audio show. Cloud made no secret of his desire to face WBC and Ring champion Bernard Hopkins. He feels that Hopkins wins his fights by winning the mental part of the fight. Cloud is confident that Hopkin's tactics wouldn't work on him if they were to meet in the ring.

So why isn't this fight with Pascal and him aint getting done? Because of dispute over the money? I don't like Pascal and think he's a chump, but sometimes when a guy has a following you gotta give in a little and evidently cloud isn't doing that.

This dude got outboxed by Yusaf Mack before finally getting the stoppage. And Mack is by no means a special fighter. Cloud would get beaten by Hopkins, Dawson, and Pascal fairly easily. He can have good fights with Diaconu, Edison Miranda, and some of the 168 pound losers like Kessler and Froch[soon to be a loser]. He could also have a good fight with Pavlik. But Cloud seemed to have been outboxed pretty easily by Mack before he caught him in the corner.

Pascal's promoter said they offered 50% of the gate and 50% of HBO money. As a guy who doesn't have any kind of following and has never made the final on a major network, Cloud should say "thank you sir" and stop crying like a spoiled kid.
