(DODGING FLOYD NEGIOTATIONS AGAIN) Pacquiao hints: It’s Bradley after Marquez

Some may call it over-confidence or even arrogance, but for people who have keen business sense, it is just simply forward planning.
Five weeks before he defends his world welterweight title against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez, Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao hinted Thursday night that his next pugilistic assignment could be the undefeated American Timothy Bradley, Jr., who holds both the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and World Boxing Council (WBC) junior welterweight titles.

That is, of course, if he disproves the boast of the Mexican boxing legend that he will be able to knock out Manny Pacquiao.

Bradley, who is being exposed by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum to Pacquiao fans worldwide in preparation for the match up with the Pacman sometime in the first quarter of next year, will defend his WBO and WBC titles against Cuban Joel Casamayor, a fight whose result is just as foregone as the Pacquiao-Marquez 3.

The undefeated American fighter from Palm Springs, California recently signed up with Top Rank, a move that immediately led to talks about a possible encounter with Pacquiao.

“Bradley is being exposed in your undercard. Is he your next opponent?” I asked Manny when he invited me to share dinner with him Thursday shortly before the awarding ceremonies for a basketball tournament that he sponsored at the Coyeesan sports center in Baguio City.

“Yes, he could be the next,” Pacquiao said.

Bradley, 28, is managed by Cameron Dunkin who also holds a management contract over Fil-Am bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire Jr. He is undefeated in 27 fights with one No Contest, a bout against Nate Campbell in 2009.

He won the WBC light welterweight title in May of 2008 when he fought Junior Witter to a 12 round split decision in Nottinghamshire, UK and has successfully defended it five times, the last against Devon Alexander, scoring a technical decision in the 10th round of their January 2011 fight in Michigan.

While he is not considered a big puncher, posting a KO percentage of only 39.29, Bradley is a durable technical fighter capable of winning over tough opponents, like Kendal Holt, on points, and according to available records has never been knocked down.

When will Pacquiao grow a pair?
After the Mosley deal was done a week after the Margarito fight (therefore ducking negotiations with Floyd,)
Marquez said Top Rank contacted him about a fight with Manny before he had even fought Mosley,
And now they are at it again.

They are lining up Tim Bradley for after the Marquez fight so they don't have to get into negotiations with Floyd.

They are robbing the boxing public of what we want to see.

cleary pac man fans never respond to the point at hand. If floyd is a ducker that doesn't change the fact that so is team manny. You sound like the little kid that gets caught red handed and first thing says.....johnny did it too

What real fan of the sport doesn't see this. Of course it's bradley next. Only after they say team mayweather rejected their imaginary offer.

3 years running this **** sucks. Bradley then whomever is left standing between margo, cotto and mosley. Just watch.

Sergio will fight floyd and pac fans will find reasons to discredit it.

In fairness, bradley would be a great choice if floyd won't be available. Let's wait and see, team pac is clearly sending team floyd a message.

PAC v may will not happen anytime soon I can only see it happenig as both of their last fights the one big last payday for each. Until then there milking all of us for our money and making as much as they can get, let's be honest as soon as PAC v may fight there PPV after that won't do 1M + because there is no big fight after that for either of them. Both camps know this and prob agreed with each other that the fight will take place at the end of their careers. I hole it gets made but if it's in 2013 that's just too late man. Of course it will still break PPV records but I wanted to see these 2 go at it in 2010 that would have been an all time classic fight.

bradley is not a wbc champ.... and yeah he's next for pac. the negotiations are probably already going on as we speak. nice duck!
been wondering, if they are going to match up bradley with marquez next. just to see how much of a threat bradley actually is against a common opponent.

last time i checked, pacquiao is willing to fight, mayweather is only willing to fight if he gets extra drug testing. only reason he wants extra testing is because he obviously thinks pacquiao is just that good. that alone says it all.

Getting a fight with Floyd is impossible so Pac has to get on with his career. FLoyd should get on with his and mention Sergios name, he shouldnt be scared and he wont turn to stone if he does say Sergio or khan.
