Earth to Boxingscene..southpaws give right handers problems every single time, this is not a Mayweather thing. You guys are pointing out the obvious, like a lot kids have the most trouble with learning Math, but you pick out the smartest kid in class because he got a couple of answers wrong on a couple of math tests, but he still passed the math tests with flying colors. Mayweather losing a round or two against a southpaw is actually amazing. Because there are other right handers that would lose a WHOLE fight against a southpaw. Recent examples[Recent as in the last 10 years] are Hopkins vs Calzaghe, Berto vs Ortiz, Jones vs Tarver, Hernandez vs Cunningham, Donaire vs Darchinyan/Montiel, etc. You also add in the styles and it becomes even harder for the righty.

Floyd is just gifted to have a style and intelligence to adjust to southpaws and beat them at least 9 rounds to 3. If Dawson beats Hopkins, that would be Hopkins second loss in his 40s, and both would have come against southpaws. And we all know Hopkins is a great fighter. So for a guy like Hopkins to lose to two southpaws, that shows you how hard it is to beat them. And here you are picking a few ROUNDs that Mayweather lost or had trouble in, when there's other great fighters who get knocked out or lose decisions against southpaws.

corley landed 54% on him in round 4...with all kinds of punches....the body shots he got from floyd slowed him down tho...

And as you can see with Donaire vs Darchinyan, southpaws can blast themselves away as well, pretty easily.
