Is Marco Antonio Barrera Backing Out?

According to Boxrec.com, 3 division champion Marco Antonio Barrera is fighting Jesus Chavez for the IBF lightweight title. does that mean he is going to vacate the IBF n WBC Super featherweight titles? is he interested in fighting in lightweight? or is he just ducking and backing out because he doesnt want to face either Manny Pacquiao or Erik Morales?

What The-Greatest was referring to is this:

Barrera has the WBC Super Featherweight belt.
The WBC recently stated that the winner of the Morales-Pac II fight will automatically become the #1 contender for the WBC belt that Barrera currently has. Barrera will have to defend his title agaisnt winner of that fight next, it's considered a mandatory, otherwise he gets stripped of his belt.
This is why he's questioning whether Barrera's ducking them by taking the fight with Chavez at Lightweight. Is he going to give up his featerweight belts in order to take this fight?
I think you two are the ones that got owned here, you have no clue what's going on.
You guys need to chill out, you don't know nearly as much as you think you do.

I don't know if you can call it ducking or backing out vs Morales, though vs Manny, maybe. It's very odd that he doesn't want to be eager to rematch Manny or give out hints that he would like to truely face him next at any time of his fights after the Manny fight. Any true fighter from a loss would immediately ask for a rematch, this is the odd part. You can't deny Marco's greatness, though he needs to rematch Manny NOW! Not when Manny is finally shot up or slowed down. He needs to while Manny can almost be the same he was on that night. Then we'll truely have answers!

yeah the last time I checked Manny and Morales will have spent a year in their rivalry...Barrera owns prime Morales in three different weight classes...Chavez is the best and toughest fight out there (that does not include Corrales) for Barrera other than Pacman

Barrera and Oscar have had a change of Heart... He dont want none of Jesus Chavez... He is gonna fight harrison or chi instead.

His excuse was that its too much for him to go up to lightweight. However Jesus Chavez has said before that he would be willing to go down to 130.

he has the choice of either options A, B, or C.

Option A: Fight Erik Morales, the guy who he fought 3 times, the guy he beat twice, and the guy he had two FotYs with. really, who wants a 4th match?

Option B: Fight Manny Pacquiao, the guy who KTFOd him and who has a legit chance of doing it again.

                    OR

Option C: Move up in weight to fight for the IBF 135 lb title. If he wins, he will be one of the very few champions to win titles in 4 divisions.

                    which one would you choose?
