It was Schaefer who said that the numbers would be 90% known by the Thursday after the fight and the final numbers tallied and announced the day after (Friday). He said that it always happens that way and that people in the business know that.

Well, it's been way past that time and no announcement....that either means he lied (very likely) or the numbers aren't good.

Both Iole and Rafael, the ones saying the Mayweather-Guerrero PPV did way less than 1 million, were both on record that Kim's sources were wrong and that the Ortiz PPV was well over 1 mil, in the 1.3 range.

Heard this morning that PPV buys for Mayweather could be as low as 850k. How possible is the statement?

From what I'm hearing, Mayweather-Ortiz last night did somewhere around 1.3-1.4 million buys. Still early & that number is preliminary.

So their sources were spot on then.
