    Evander holyfield

How would you describe a prime evander holyfield's style? How would you compare the different evander eras; as far as amateur to cruiser to heavy to an older holyfield heavy. This one is for the holyfield followers/knowledgeable ones.

    boxer puncher
footwork, worked off the jab, threw in flurries, had some pop
didn't look for KO's, but would take them if they came
he was more mobile as a CW, and in his early HW yrs
after Moorer 1, he got a lot bigger and slower
but he was stronger, committed more to his punches
could beat guys counterpunching, but refused to rest on that
was always more inclined to fight hard at close quarters
bigger opponents thought they could bully him, he'd clinch some then
he'd box in spots, slug in others

A prime Holyfield used a lot of great footwork and a good jab. This older version has to rely on power and toughness. A lot less use of the ring. Great chin is consistent. Stays in great shape even as an old man.

Prime holyfield was like a big ol tim bradley with a flat top.

Lead with the head on every combo and overwhelm with handspeed while the opponent is still realizing they just got butted.

Yeah I think evander was underestimated as a counterpuncher, always thought he had a fluid style when he wanted to.

Loved watching Holyfield beat up the big guys in the early nineties, a class act, in and out of the ring
