But to the thread starter - you gotta admit that the fight with Cotto was just about even until the last round. . . Margarito was gradually wearing him down - but Cotto was returning fire basically until stoppage time. . .

I think we will definitely get a better idea whether or not he had "tampered" wraps after this second fight. . . Of course we will NEVER know for sure

the way i look at it, if he was cheating, he is only human and he still fights with the heart of a true mexican warrior! And he got his jsut desserts against Mosley and Pacquiao. . . IF HE DIDN'T CHEAT (intentionally, or at all) BEFORE, nor know what his trainer was doing with his wraps against mosley, then he's right with himself anyway. .. ultimately, i give him the benefit of the doubt. . . .

^^^Exactly. Unless Margarito decides to one day reveal something (if he IS hiding something). In the meantime, all we can do speculate, no matter how sketchy the affair looks. I understand with people giving Cotto the benefit of the doubt and people looking the other way.

Some people refuse to get ****** into that because Margarito being guilty means that a truly great fight becomes tainted over cheating. And really, who ultimately takes the blow? The credibility and integrity of the sport. Nobody wants that.

You are clearly bias against Cotto. I gave Margs mad props for beating cotto but after the shane incident, anyone with a brain would question his prior fights suspecting he has cheated before. Cotto was crying blood and bleeding out his ears, i question whether a man can do that to another man without wraps. Oh and sebastian lujan ear fell off come on man, think about it.
