I was watching Pacquiao vs Marquez II again

In 2 fights vs Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao landed a total of 148 punches in the first fight while throwing 639 punches.

In their 2nd fight Pacman threw 619 punches and only landed 157 punches.

Floyd Mayweather threw 493 punches and landed 290!. Mayweather almost landed double the amount of shots on Marquez in one fight than Pac did in 24 rounds.

The GAP in skill level is clearly apparent

You can thank floyd and oscar for that. Pac was supposed to unify against diaz to set up pac-marquez 3 years ago.

But floyd got scared at his daddy's announcement that he would train oscat for the rematch against him and retired. Leaving oscar to look for what looked like a very beatable pac at the time.

I think it was more because JMM vs Floyd was a

counterpuncher vs. counterpuncher

and someone had to fight a way that they weren't accustomed to.

JMM became the aggressor of that fight, not taking anything from Floyd he used his advantages to the hilt and did not go out of the game plan as the counterpuncher...

JMM vs PAC would be similar to their first two fights, if Manny's does not finish Marquez off it will be another close contest...

yeah i watched the 2nd fight 2 nights back. it was much better than the first fight.

amazing fight indeed. I expected Pac to run over Marquez in the 2nd fight but Marquez stood his ground. This is the reason why im pumped up for the 3rd one.

I will never underestimate Marquez again. He is to Pacquiao what Balboa is to Apollo Creed.
