      The mans a legend, cant believe how he gets ripped on here, ok the tights **** and the drugs was dumb but as a boxer and a personality he was class act.

        Problem with oscar is he didn't fit in.

        White boxing fans couldn't really identify with him, blacks didn't like him, mexicans hated him

        His fanbase was mostly women and casuals. Very skilled boxer with an awesome left hook.

              I disagree,Chicanos loved oscar.Everybody i knew had partiez when oscar
              fought.It aint the same without oscar.Those where sum good times.

                Tyson>de la hoya... now with that said... ODLH was a beast in the AMS and up until he met Hopkins.... who ever liked him, liked him enough to make him, the most famous boxer of the 2000's

                    I agree 100% and i've lived in this country for my whole life. I have been saying it, Americans are the worst boxing fans. English and British are the best fans I have seen but they are also very annoying. Canadians are a close third. Mexicans and Puerto Ricans are also better than American fans. So American fans are actually the worst when it comes to supporting their fighters.
