Many Lineal titles are vacant because someone retired or moved up or down and then #1 still hasnt fought the #2 in the division or possibly the #3. Cleaning out a division or becoming unified doesnt necessarily make you the linear champ. Beating the man who was does.

So again let me get this straight, that means the title that Floyd won from Oscar was NOT lineal..... Oscar was not considered the man at that time he beat Mayorga who was not considered the man has he won the Vacant WBC from Piccirillo in a box off for that vacant title.

So again why do we say that Floyds Jr Middleweight title is Lineal?

I take it we are no longer in the mood to discuss how many lineal titles Floyd has won any longer eh?

Who said the Jr. Middleweight title was lineal? First time I've ever heard that.

He is a 4 time lineal champ in 3 weight divisions: Jr Lightweight, Lightweight and welterweight (twice)

Martinez is a very good example of a lineal Title holder.

He wond the lineal title from Baldo (joke as it was) and then some people claim he won it again when he beat Mosley. I personally don't believe Mosley was the lineal, but there has been argument that he won it against Margo (a #1 vs #3 fight). Mosley never was awarded the Ring belt.

no 1 says floyd was lineal at 154...he was lineal at

                    130-hernendez win

                    135-castillo win

                    147-baldo and mosley win

154 wasnt lineal it was just a belt

Exactly, but again he doesnt have four lineal titles as you all argue.
