Will Michael Katsidis Ever Become A World Champion?

Michael Katsidis has never won a world title despite being in big fights, He has only ever won the Interim title which is not a full world title and thus Katsidis has never been world champion and lost every single world championship fight he has been in.

Michael Katsidis is a good fighter, I just wish he left his trainer years ago who kept teaching him the same thing, walk forward in straight lines, block punches with your face and throw a powerful sneaky hook. Katsidis was never taught any real lateral movement, jab, combinations, angles or anything like that because his trainer is very limited.

Michael Katsidis is a sad boxing story, He always came up short in his biggest moments, Unlike Judah who actually won a few world title fights, Katsidis never did, and I fear he never will.

I hope he can, he has the tools just needs to stop using his face to block punches, realy hope he gets that title he deserves it, it has to be against someone who is gona brawl like he dose, if its against a skilled boxer he aint gona get it i dont think, JMM and Guerrero and Casamayor are all skilled durable boxers able to nulify his greatest assets, raw aggression and thats what he is gona be up against more often than not.

winning a world title means diddly squat now but he still probably won't win one. he's just not that good. he lost against the 4 best fighters he faced and he was dominated in 3 of those fights. maybe he can beat burns then fight for a vacant title against a hand picked bum and win one but that's sad.

Katsidis is an entertining fighter. His face gets marked up quick but he still fights with heart even if he knows he is going to lose. A fight with him and Soto wouldnt be bad. Why not even with Miguel Vasquez lets just say for ****s and giggles.

getting a title is so easy these days
he could fight for wba interim title against some scrub and wait until rios moves up to gain full recognition
i bet if he truly wanted an alphabet he woulda already won it

he would've already had a full alpha strap by now if he had a mind to take the path of least resistance.


this guy has established a trait of always fighting the best guy available at the time. that, to me, is more admirable than picking up a crap-strap, either vacant or taking it from a weak titlist, and defending it a bunch of times against soft comp.
