yes anything can happen but the chance for anything happening for Ortiz after his last hurrah and headbutt was slim to NONE.. he was walking through Floyd shots but so was Diaz when he fought Pacquiao and just like diaz, Ortiz's face was beginning to bust up especially his eye which was closed after the fight. Ive watched the fight so many times you can clearly see not only was Ortiz just frustrated, but he was also tiring as well and his punching power was beginning to decrease and lose steam, but that right he caught Floyd with at the end of rd 4 was vicious Ortiz put just about all he had behind it he turned into the punch well with all his weight behind it and hit floyd right in his temple/chin area and floyd didnt even buckle he ate it stayed calm against the ropes even grinned for a sec as to say is that all u got.. Ortiz was clearly showing signs of a defeated man who knew he was in over his head if you watch the fight closer and at times u see Ortiz had the exact same puzzled look in his eyes that Mosley had...

Look man, Cotto and Margarito were also big and strong guys. And yet, this guy bashed their faces in bloody style. Ortiz will be more of the same, unless he finds a way out the fight before getting punished any further (i.e. headbutts). In no way, will Victor Ortiz beat Pac, unless it's through a miraculous lucky punch that miraculously floors him. But what's the likelihood of that?

In the Margarito fight, Margarito hit him with his best power shots and what happened? We saw Pac absorbing each blast and then doing the unthinkable... clapping for more! Clapping for more hard punches several times in a single round! Absorbing everything with joy and excitement, standing his ground like a cement statue. Something you rarely, if ever, see in boxing. In the Cotto fight, it was much of the same, he was just walking through the bigger guy's punches like it was nothing. =)

victor ortiz is a bigger puncher than margarito. margarito is a volume puncher. hes never knocked anybody out with 1 punch, or not even down for that matter. and margarito had no business being in the ring with manny. he got blasted by shane mosley. never even came close to winning a round. then suspended for 2 yrs. so how does that get u a shot at the p4p1 (allegedly)?

Regardless of that farfetched opinion, Ortiz is a pointless win for Pacquiao at this point.

No belt, is known to lose his cool, and obviously will be a much less of a favorite than he was against Floyd. It'd be idiotic for Ortiz to go into a Pacquiao fight UNLESS Ortiz looks spectacular in a couple of fights beforehand. But that's not gonna' happen...
