what has leonard and hearns got to do with mayweather? nothing.

i have not mischaracterized anything. i dont need anything to "fit my opinion"

making things up!!!!!!!!! have you even watched that interview???????????????
SO all the best are top rank promoted fighters. Got it. Niether cotto nor marg was ever the best ww in the world, manny was only when floyd wasn't fighting. Interesting points you made, but manny has never fought the #1 ww, while floyd has twice. But I get it.

i take it from the interview, you believe mayweather really wants the fight?

self preservation?! lol, i didnt hear him talk about that when he was fighting hatton or marquez.
funny when you gys say he ducked you mention margarito (who was caught cheating and too damn slow), cotto (who was managed by bob arum and would never beat floyd), and shane mosley (who had a tooth ache when he was in his prime but would have been a tough fight for floyd back then), and pac man (who you know floyd would destroy)

this list is ridiculous brother, floyd has his bullsht with him but these are just dumb arguments... none of these dudes are scared of eachoter its the managers and promoters who have ruined boxing!!! come on man

He clearly used it in reference to what Floyd claimed Ali is now going thru do to him being forced into fights that the fans and not he wanted, therefore using that as an example of the entire world calling for a showdown between him and Pacquiao. "Self preservation" means just that. Preserving thyself.

        self-pres·er·va·tion (slfprzr-vshn)
        n.
        1. Protection of oneself from harm or destruction.
        2. The instinct for individual preservation; the innate desire to stay alive
No he was referring to ali fighting Trevor Berbick and Larry Holmes when he was not phyically or mentally healthly enough to do so but because he needed the money. Of course you probably weren't watching boxing in 1980, you may not have been born.

wait a minute cotto and marg were the best in the world at points in their carrer???????? when and why? how? what fights solidified this? yes they were good solid fighters but the best in the world?

pac fought mosley at nearley 40 also (after he lost and then looked terrible against mora), fought marg after he was suspended for a year for allegedly cheating then comes back n beats a guy who isnt even on wikipedia and gets a liscence from bob arum to fight pac for a championship???... he beat cotto which was somewhat legit but at a catchweight...

Are u implying that Floyd isnt physically or mentaly healthy enough to face Pac? If not then how is your post relevent to what Floyd said?

seriously bro do u actually think floyd mayweather is afraid to fight pac or do u think politicts and other issues have ruined this fight? lets just say they both accepted eachothers demands and everything woked out n they fought

as a true boxing fan how do u see floyd vs pac panning out?

No, i'm simply correcting your interpretation of what floyd meant, thats how its relevant. You probably didn't know that ali's last 2 fights weren't for competition, but for money. He didn't face Berbick and Holmes because he was a warrior (which of course he was), he did so because financially he had been ****d by Arum and DOn King.

The statement was a silly way to justify his desire for getting a larger purse split. Your interpretation is just as ridiculous IMO.

love how you spin it to be about pacquiao!

and i think you will find cotto was rated the number 1 welterweight when mayweather "retired". then margarito was rated the number 1 welterweight when he beat kneeguel.

and thats a cracking excuse that is, i cant fight you because i dont like your promoter!
