he openly admits he fears fighting pacquiao. that aint greatness.

salido vs juanma 2 is much greater than any fight mayweather has been in. no sucker punches, no elbow rolls, no opponents from a division below and no joe cortez'.
If you honestly believe what you typed in the 1st 2 paragraphs because thats the way you interpreted what floyd said then there is no sense in discussing it with you.

Juanma salido has produced more action then any floyd fight we agree. But there wasn't as much skill displayed. Like I said, when you have two lesser skilled fighters ****in it out, that usually produces more action then a highly skilled fighter against one who isn't as skilled.

oh c'mon dunn. mayweather has conveniently not fought the best for years.

i take it from the interview, you believe mayweather really wants the fight?

self preservation?! lol, i didnt hear him talk about that when he was fighting hatton or marquez.

            Those fighters are whom?

That statement was clearly about money/purse split, which is why it wasn't discussed with Hatton or Marquez. But if you say otherwise your mind is made up so I don't see the value of debating it.

For any of you complaining about how long the fight takes to get made were you this upset with Ray Leonard when he made Hearns wait 2 years and Hagler 5 years?

you know exactly who those fighters are.

this is usually what floyd fans resort to, changing the subject.

and yes my mind is already made up. no offence but your opinion is bias because your a mayweather fan.

we can agree to disagree as always, but theres isnt many people who will stick up for mayweather after that interview. mayweather comes first.

Thats a non answer. You said, "mayweather has conveniently not fought the best for years." Who are these best?

And I didn't change the subject. I was simply asking if those who have a problem with "floyd making us wait for the fight" if their problem is with floyd or with every fighter that does this.

Yes I am a floyd fan, but that doesn't mean I am biased in the questions I asked you.

Its not about sticking up for mayweather, its about an honest interpretation of what he said to Bob Costas. If you purposely mischarachterize what he said to fit your opinion, well thats pretty sad. One shouldn't have to justify their hate by making things up.

miguel cotto when he was rated the best welterweight in the world. antonio margarito when he was rated the best welterweight in the world. now manny pacquiao whilst he is rated the best welterweight in the world. the only top rated welterweight he fought was mosley, and he was nearly 40!

what has leonard and hearns got to do with mayweather? nothing.

i have not mischaracterized anything. i dont need anything to "fit my opinion"

making things up!!!!!!!!! have you even watched that interview???????????????

                    • Its funny how the Floyboys try to change Floyd's interpretation of "self preservation". Its clear as day what he was referring to. He clearly used it in reference to what Floyd claimed Ali is now going thru do to him being forced into fights that the fans and not he wanted, therefore using that as an example of the entire world calling for a showdown between him and Pacquiao. "Self preservation" means just that. Preserving thyself.

                      self-pres·er·va·tion (slfprzr-vshn)
                      n.
                      1. Protection of oneself from harm or destruction.
                      2. The instinct for individual preservation; the innate desire to stay alive
