It is just Pac-****** reaching lol. Many of my favorite fighters were warriors, LaMotta, Graziano, Gatti, Corrales, etc. and currently Brandon Rios. But in all honestly, many times a boxer is a "warrior" because they lack the actual boxing skill to win a fight any other way. The boxers that have the tools and ability to outbox people without getting their brains beaten into mush, most times, do exactly that. There are some who choose to fight all out even though they have the skill to not have to, and that is great, it is their choice (like JMM for example or of course the all time great SRR). There is nothing wrong with hitting and not being hit, like Floyd or Ward do. In fact, Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard did the same thing, but of course that is never mentioned huh? Pac is a come forward warrior because to be honest, what other choice does he have? He is not skilled enough to be an outside fighter, he has no defense, nor is he a counterpuncher, so how else is he going to win fights? As I said some of my favorites were Gatti and LaMotta, but we all know they were not highly skilled as boxers and had no other way of winning. Make no mistake, just because Pac comes forward, makes him no more braver than anyone else in the ring, nor more courageous. He is simply do the only thing he can to win. Sure it makes for more exciting fights, but that is mostly for the bandwagon fans or non-boxing fans. Real fans of the sweet science love to see boxing clinics and amazing examples of technical skill in the ring. If you want all wild action, knockdown haymaker swinging mania ALL the time, go watch the UFC.

You are not getting it .... there are several variables ....

Ali and the likes were great boxers but for the most part they were always willing to fight the best.

Ali lost to Frazier & Norton but Foreman beat them easily ..... yet Ali still went after Foreman ..... When Costas and others have asked Floyd don't you want to fight these guys and get the glory, Floyd said NO ..... I'm fighting for my family and for money!!! So Foyd is OK with avoiding some guys and therefore losing some glory ...

Now some here are agreeing with Floyd and his money and family comes first but then don't come here saying that Floyd is one of if not the GOAT or don't expect us not to laugh when Floyd says he is greater than Ali, SRR, ...

Everyone posting in this thread supporting Floyd are ****ing idiots. Manny supporters in other threads are idiots too but not in this one.

A boxer is a modern day gladiator, gladiators should die for the crowd. By die I mean get in hard fights and take risks. NO **** self preservation is first, but you are a famous boxer, you dont have that luxury. You get paid millions to entertain the fans so do it.

According to Floyd, self perservation is first, might as well shut down the god damn NFL then. Since the NFL is also risky, why even have that league. LET'S LET EVERY SINGLE NFL PLAYER not play since we gots to protect our healths.

Also not all boxers end up like Ali, that was just a stretch of bad luck. Smoking Joe Frazier took arguably twice as much punishment as Ali during their respective careers and was still around 90% healthy prior to the liver cancer. Frazier never suffered major brain damage. He fought everyone.

Mike Tyson seems fine these days despite being analized by Holyfield and Lennox.

Oscar De La Hoya NEVER DUCKED NOBODY and absorbed massive amounts of punishment, he's fine..... now rich, gay, happy, smart, and still pretty.

One last thing, Nigel Benn was a ****ing wild animal ok, he was the god damn lion that eats humans. If Manny was bigger and had the mentality of Nigel Benn

not only will Floyd never fight him, Floyd will never have left 140

self preservation is not for boxing, if one wants to preserve himself why go into boxing in the first place. its called bloodsport, there must be a reason why.
