I don't know who you can have interview Floyd. He gets defensive when Rome ask simple questions, he goes off on Merchant from years of beef or whatever, he got smart with Max as well who's a big fan of his.

HBO needs to hire someone who will literally get down on his knees for Floyd. Only then will the interview process go well. Just have Ellerbe interview him after the fight. And, then his fans can stop crying about unfair commentators.

Its funny when someone posted that "Floyd uses his elbows" vid, that it became gospel. "Floyd uses his elbows, he's a cheat". And there's an argument becuz there's proof and people interpret things any way they choose...

well we all kno wat types of fighters larry merchant hates. hes not a very good commentator on the overall sport. ive never thought he was and i never will. if this was any other sport, he'd never get away with bashing one style of play. thats not called being an effective commentator.

But, one can say that he was already flustered after everything that happen with Floyd. He wasn't probably even thinking about the interview or what question to ask. Merchant hasn't been in a situation like that since the whole fan incident. He gave Floyd props for Mosley and didn't let Mosley slide with his tightness excuse.

I get what the video is trying to say, but its overall pretty ******. Larry doesn't have to like Floyd, or any boxer for that matter. Larry just has to be Larry, and he'll go down as one of the best commentators ever. I'm a Mayweather fan and a Merchant fan, and I'll let them fight their own wars.
