Is boxing the only sport in the world that doesn't care about championships?

There's a system like that in boxing- called the Unified Undisputed champion holding all 4 belts... but nobody chases it.. they only chase money.

If I was a boxer that would be my only goal- get all four belts and call myself the champion of the world- meaning i'm the king of my weight class, i'm the number 1 fighter in the world.

Not just ibc champion or wbo or wbc champion, but the Undisputed World Champion- and become a king like Ali and Tyson were.
I wouldn't say it doesn't count anything BUT... if you are the champion in something you are usually the best... but if there are 4 world champions what does A title mean?

I think for big names titles aren't important... but for guys who are unknown this is a shot to get into the limelight... they can at least say they are champs... but in the end... it's not always like that that all 4 of a weight division are the best... so do you fight for a title or the best?

It should come back to the old time... only one title per division... this brings the worth back... you can't have one title and divide it into 4 and believe that these 4 have more of a meaning then one... I mean it doesn't work... if you have a cake all by yourselve... or you have to share it with 3 others... at which time you have the most? If a King divides his kingdom into 4... it will only weaken him... one belt has a meaning... if it's 4 who cares basically?

I find it hard to criticise boxers for taking cash over true glory. It's a dangerous career and the next fight could be the one that makes you a vegetable. As you fight more and more the danger grows, so get out with a healthy mind and a bank balance to match.

I wish more fighters prioritised unifying divisions and taking the top challenges but I can't hold it against them when they take the biggest money fights. Haye vs Harrison is the best example I can think of - in sporting terms it was a ridiculous proposition but given the money on the table Haye would've been crazy to turn it down.

On boxing and championships, I actually agree that boxing treats titles weird, but saying it “doesn’t care” feels off. The belts still matter — it’s just politics muddying the water. Fans still tune in for champs. That chaos reminds me of betting markets honestly. From Pakistan, I’ve checked out bc game pakistan, a sportsbook and online casino platform, and you see how odds, rankings, and perception don’t always line up with reality. Boxing’s messy, but that unpredictability is exactly why people stay obsessed with it.
