Is boxing the only sport in the world that doesn't care about championships?

In each sport there's a ladder system, and if you beat that ladder system, then you can call yourself the best.

There's a system like that in boxing- called the Unified Undisputed champion holding all 4 belts... but nobody chases it.. they only chase money.

If I was a boxer that would be my only goal- get all four belts and call myself the champion of the world- meaning i'm the king of my weight class, i'm the number 1 fighter in the world.

Not just ibc champion or wbo or wbc champion, but the Undisputed World Champion- and become a king like Ali and Tyson were.

Would you also be the only athlete that doesn't care a bit about money, too?

yup. because boxing titles have lost their value. the best hardly ever fight the best. so belts have lost their value long ago.

Well it's damn near impossible to win every single belt these days.

And, boxing is the only sport where you have to pay to be be a champion(sanctioning fees)

There's so much bull***** attached with these belts. They need one champ per division.

I'd say 3 at the most. That way the belts would be more meaningful.

It is really tough to do though, especially with international fighters in the mix some of whom aren't fighting and are unheard of. Also because corrupt organizations like the WBC/WBA are constantly stripping fighters and handing belts over to lesser deserving chumps.

But I think if it's not possible/realistic to do so in your weight class, go after The Ring belt. That way you're recognized as the best.
