Won at the weekend in his first bout since Rios
Former lightweight champion Miguel “Aguacerito” Acosta (29-4-2, 23 KOs) will now face Richard Abril (16-2-1, 8 KOs) for the WBA interim lightweight belt on October 22 at the WBA “KO Drugs” Festival in Panama. Initially it was originally planned that former WBA titleholder Paulus Moses would face Abril for the title, but Moses didn’t accept the fight. Acosta won in a tuneup fight last Saturday in Colombia in his first bout since losing the WBA regular belt to Brandon Rios in February

this guy is an amazing fighter. . . his style is so rare - to be a boxer/counter-puncher off the back foot and to possess that kind of one-punch power is CRUCIAL! I love his style. . . so fleet of hand and foot. . . Rios's win over him just further testifies to his ability. . .

i know arum would never allow it - but i wouldn't mind a rematch with rios. . . but rios should be moving to 140 soon, and jMM probably is done at 135, so I like Acosta to be king of the division. . .
