Amir Khan is not a big draw here in the USA. So why does a guy who fights scared and has been knocked out get all these huge paydays? If I'm not mistaken, hes fighting in Peterson's back yard because he couldn't even sell 3,000 tickets in Las Vegas.

Not sure about what his tickets do but the HBO ratings, which are far more important being that HBO is putting in the money, have been stellar.

So yeah, I think he does. It's much better than paying $1 million + to a guy like berto who not only doesn't sell tickets but doesn't bring in the ratings either.

HBO pays Berto $800k-$900k and Khan is a bigger draw than Berto so yes he deserves 1 million $ paydays.

Not being funny but outside of the Mexicans, in America who draws a lot of fans?

              Leave out the obvious two.

Not being contrary, I just want to know.

If Bhop was English he'd be selling out huge stadiums no matter how boring his style is.

Khan-Judah had an attendance of about 7k people and 5k tickets were sold. And this was only in his second fight in Vegas and third in the US. Berto couldn't sell that many tickets and he's been fighting in the US his entire career.

Plus I hear he gets good ratings on HBO. He deserves those million dollar paydays, IMO.

Well Dan Rafael said Khan was profitable in every fight for HBO, which is why they signed him to a multi fight deal.

This whole thread is ******. The amount of money you get is always tied to your ratings. Khan gets the ratings, therefore he gets the money. Simple math.
