Comments Thread For: 2011 AIBA World Championships: Lomachenko Loses

The Baku World Amateur Championships have already caught the attention of the worldwide media thanks to its streak of upsets and minor sensations. The biggest upset, however, happened on Tuesday, when Vasyl Lomachenko, arguably the best amateur fighter on the planet, unexpectedly lost a razor-thin 19-20 decision to unheralded Brazilian Robson Conceicaio in what was an eliminator for the automatic qualification to the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

I already counted 2 knock downs that were not accounted for. Even if amateurs do not count it as more then one point, its still a point that was not counted to Lomachenko

I always knew Mikhnienko was wrong about Lomachenko being p4p#1.

Lomachenko got Roy Jones'd. And I am referring to Jones's olympic efforts.

Round 1 - was pretty close but Vasyl should have had a slight edge, it was scored 5-5.

Round 2 – Was still somewhat even but Lomachenko should have won by a even greater margin than the first. It was scored for 8-5 Brazil lol
Now the scoring up to this point was questionable enough but round 3 is where things get unbelievable.

Round 3 - First of all Vasya beat the **** out of this guy in the last round yet it was scored 9-7 for Lomachenko. It should have been more like 12-2 or 14-2

Vasyl’s 1st point deduction this round was for a supposed low blow but he landed a left and right stomach level that were both blocked by the Brazilians arms. Absurd.

Vasyl’s 2nd point deduction was 100% clean. It landed middle of the stomach near his belly button and should have been ruled a knockdown but instead he got a deduction.

Not long after that with 10 seconds left Vasya lands a beautiful combo to the head and knocks the Brazilian down but its ruled a slip.

Ukraine filed a protest and rightfully so. We'll see what happens.

Pump - remember yesterday how i criticized the title of your thread where you said Ramirez was robbed yet only Ramirez himself and his two buddies were the ones claiming robbery? Here we are today with with everyone, every country, who saw the fight saying it was a horrible robbery yet title reads "Lomachenko loses"

That was one of the worst robberies of all time.

Lomachenko is still the #1 P4P best amatuer fighter in the world.
