    WTF is Alexander Povetkin doing?!?!

He's seriously fighting Holyfield in December? This guy went from a very promising fighter to an absolute JOKE of boxing. I thought it ws a sick joke at first but it looks like it's about to be a done deal. Him and Teddy atlas should be shunned from the sport.

Speaking of teddy, it's clear Povetkin has REGRESSED as a fighter under his training. Watch any of his fights prior to Teddy and compare them to after and it's like a completely different fighter.

Atlas is so overrated as a trainer it's not even funny. The fact is HE'S NOT A VERY GOOD ONE, PERIOD! Yeah he knows his boxing and he gets props for speaking out loudly against boxing injustices but the bottom line is as a trainer, he's sub-par at best!

What an embarrassment these guys call themselves "world heavyweight champion" :smh:

    I agree.

Alexander Povetkin has regressed under Teddy.

And by ducking Wlad and now fighting old Evander, he's become a disgrace to Russia.

I'd probably give him a pass if he was a young guy, but people forget he's 32 years old now!

He is doing a good thing, Giving Holyfield (hopefully) his last title so he can be happy, STFU and retire finally.

FOr his development it serves him well to have a defense of a belt as well. This game is mental, he needs the defending champions mentality if he can ever really beat a Klitschko.

Who am I kidding.. Povetkin looked better beating Byrd and Chambers. The Chagaev scrap was a snoozer, I would rather him give Liakhovich a shot to win his title back. That dude deserves it much more and would probably beat his ass in a good fight.

What's sad is that I can picture Povetkin looking bad in a one sided win over Holyfield. Atlas has taken him from a Klitschko shot to ancient Evander Holyfield. If that doesn't encourage him to get far away from Atlas immediately, nothing will.

            Povetkin is just like Ibragimov.

Kinda chubby and just looking for a couple paychecks so he can retire.

At least Ibragimov had the balls to fight Klitschko... well if you are so generous as to call what he did "fighting".

Ibragimov was a real good HW and very exciting but was ruined by ****ty American trainer Jeff Mayweather. Povetkin is following that trend.

I thought he could have at least fought Monte Barrett, who earned a chance by beating Tua twice, really. Tua is still not an easy out for anyone.

                  Holyfield? And then Rahman? Nah.

Who cares?!? The HW is like irrelevant to humanity. No one cares about the heavyweight division.
