      There was no winner or loser that night, that fight was like it didn't count. That's why Mayweather was offering the rematch as soon as the fight ended, he knows he didn't win.
      The only losers were the people who paid $60 to $70 dollars for that. Mayweather has since declined to rematch Ortiz and Cortez is in Floyd's pocket......

          Thats one rule, but it still does not change the rule that Floyd violated, and his is a clear violation of it.

          • So far, the commission hasn't called for a no contest or an immediate rematch. Cortez said "Let's go" and the fight continued on. Ortiz had already hugged and kissed Mayweather once, and touched gloves with him as well, but his biggest mistake was pulling away from Mayweather with his hands at his side.

            I agree that Mayweather did not end the fight in a respectable manner, but what I always go back to is that Ortiz was the one who turned it into a street fight, and without his obviously illegal act, no other questionable act would have followed;

            Simply said, no matter how you slice it, Ortiz brought it on himself and IMHO got what he deserved.

            there is no rule that says you have to wait until a fighter is ready to take a shot, the rule is to protect yourself at all times. May wasn't supposed to hug Ortiz, thank him for busting his lip with his skull, then ask him "are you ready? I'm going to go ahead and hit you now".

                of course he doesnt want a rematch, Ortiz was holding his own and getting stronger. The only rematch Floyd is up for now, is Josie Harris but only if his kids are present.
