Engaging in any unsportsmanlike trick or action which causes injury to an opponent.
Time was in, that means fight. I believe that Cortez said Protect Yourself at All Times in the pre-fight instructions
As a former pro fighter I say game was on, I would have hit him when he initially tried to hug me.
As a former Referee I say it was game on.
Quit your crying and except it. Your boy messed up in a big way. He even admits to messing up...........Rockin'
The question I have is why didnt he? Why didnt he just blast him as they came together?
Why trick him into a hug, nodding his head, wait until his hands were down and then clock him.
He tricked him PERIOD, there is no way you can dispute that, had he hit him as Ortiz came to him then you would have your arguement but Floyd clearly tricked Ortiz and that is a foul
and spar me as a former pro fighter ****, or former referee, this is the internet kid, I guess that would make me Bill ****ing Gates right?Comment

“Joe pointed to the timekeeper and said, ‘Time in,’ ” Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, said after Ortiz was counted out at 2:59 of the round to surrender his WBC welterweight title to Mayweather. “At that point, the fight is back on and they’re free to punch each other. Joe had them separated, but Victor went to hug him four separate times. But the referee said, ‘Time in,’ and Floyd Mayweather threw a perfectly legal punch. I have no idea why Victor kept trying to hug him or embrace him. I guess he was feeling guilty because of the head butt, but hey, you’re in a fight. Fight and then feel guilty later.”

if floyd has done this in previous fights how did victor get caught with it?Thing was, the overrated Floyd could have done it at any round in the fight as the opportunity is presented. He found a way to win a fight by sucker punching as another tactical resort. It could not have happened in the fourth round, but he sure intended to do it in one of the remaining rounds. When he successfully did it in the Mosley fight I had no doubt he will do it again in his future fights. That's how blatant and desperate his hold of his zero is.
Good thing about it is his future opponents would now take measure in preventing it from happening again.

You have obviously spent no time in a professional ring between the bells. It's a dog fight. If you want to be a gentleman after the fight thats your choice. It states NO WHERE IN THE RULES that you have to be a gentleman. I have yet to see a dog show up for a dog fight in a tux. Actually Roy Jones showed up in a tux outfit. But that was Roy, he's that slick...........Rockin'
