Wait a minute people how can Mayweather get so much hate around this board yet Sergio Martinez gets praised as this great tactician/warrior?

MadSweeney brought this up in a thread earlier discussing Mayweather & Martinez...

So Martinez who relies on his athleticism,he fights with his hands down, he sticks his chin out to bait his opponent, he has no real defense and this is impressive?

But Mayweather who also relies on his athleticism, but uses fantastic footwork, sets up traps, is an excellent counter puncher, is accurate, can fight in any style and adjusts to his opponents style is a **** fighter?

Martinez isnt nothing more than a bigger, slower Prince Hamed with less skill and people say Hamed was overrated.

Naw I like sergio..hes a good fighter. But why does he pose a threat to Mayweather? Because he is bigger?..lol..he for sure isnt skilled enough to beat Mayweather.

Allow me to put it to you this way

Martinez vs Pavlik, Power puncher, Martinez beat him up, Martinez vs Williams Martinez went war with him and in the rematch starched him, in other words Martinez goes for the kill = Exciting.

Mayweather vs Baldimor, feather fisted baldimor with only 13 knock outs in 60+ fights, Mayweather pot shotted, did not even try to close the show did not even once dare to be great he was satisfied with that style of win.
Mayweather vs Marquez, failed to make contracted weight, dropped the smaller Marquez and yet again went back on that bike and fought a saftey 1st type fight to the finish line= Boring.

Like it or not, weather your a casual fan or a hardcore fan, fans pay to see action, they pay to see blood, they pay to see knock outs and when you dont give that to them why cry that nobody respects you?
