Audley will rule world - Foreman

Heavyweight legend George Foreman has tipped Britain's Audley Harrison to become a world champion in 2006.

And Foreman, a two-time world champion, said Harrison would easily beat Danny Williams when they meet in December.

"Audley Harrison is going to be heavyweight champion of the world in 2006," Foreman told BBC Sport.

"He'll take Williams, easy. And if you match him with [WBC champion] Vitali Klitschko at the end of 2006, he'll knock him out in six or seven rounds."

Foreman also defended the path Harrison has taken since turning pro after winning gold at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

Harrison, 34, is unbeaten in 19 fights but has been strongly criticised in the British media for the quality of his opposition.

"A lot of people wanted more out of him sooner, but the people with him knew better. They've seasoned him well.

"He's got the right body, he takes his time in the ring with his big jab - he's got the package. They didn't rush him because of his age, and I'm happy about that."

Lennox Lewis said a few years ago that Audley will be the next dominant heavyweight and will "get better with age like a fine wine" because he's got the right build and attitude for that ..

Thing is Harrison deosn't fight that often and seems scared of a real challenge. I hope williams beats him up!

I would rather see Harrison against the Brocks, Peters, and Toneys to see where he stands then the way the heavyweights keep promoting fighters from the back of the bus all the way to the front just to get dismantled by the current champ. Brock vs McCline was good - Wlad vs Peter was better, I want more of those fights and leave the champs to fight each other.

odds are harrison 1.50 williams 2.50, so the money says harrison will win this one. but it seems like nobody wants him to. lol.

ive seen harrison fight and its hard to imagine him really putting the pressure on danny williams. plus i dont think audley can knock danny out after seeing williams rise 4 times against vit. plus if you have seen audley harrison fight you think the guy is a giant, he wont look so big and bad next to williams.

i like williams by KO, somethin tells be audley wont be able to take his punch.
