lets do the math: 26" arm length for floyd, and 72" reach; Mosley - 23.5" arm length and 71" reach. 26-23.5 = 2.5(2) = 5" - 1" = 4". . . I can see Mosley being 4 wider AROUND up top including shoulders than floyd. . .Last edited by UglyPug; 10-03-2011, 03:02 AM.

The guy has freakishly long arms. Even if someone had longer reach, he's so fast that he's going to land his shot first. Even if he did slow down (which I think he has), he's still faster than anyone else.

Here we go....
Next question will be "When's the last time Floyd fought someone with bigger calfs?"

Floyd having a reach advantage only matters because of his style.
For example, Margarito has longer reach than Floyd, but if they fought, it wouldn't matter. Just like Margarito's long reach meant nothing against Pacquiao. Why doesn't Margarito's long reach matter, you ask? Because of his style, he gives up that advantage because he's an inside fighter. Same with Williams, his reach doesn't matter cause like Jones said "He fights like a midget".
So you should instead change your comment to "Floyd has had the style advantage over all of his opponents."
Great post, Kev.
