I agree, I was at the fight and it was painfully obvious that Marquez just couldn't get off. I don't know if it's because he's near fnished of because of the style clash
He was able to have a few good rounds and big moments again Juanma less than a year ago...Comment

I realised a long time ago... that both Marquez brothers have problems with accepting defeat... Juan and Rafa both have never lossed at least in their opinions or the stoppages were to soon... I think only Juan admitted defeat once (against Mayweather only because of weight of course but still)MGM GRAND-Las Vegas, NV Former two division world champion Rafael Marquez felt like he did enough on Saturday evening to add Toshiaki Nishioka's WBC super bantamweight title to his collection. The judges however saw things differently. The fighter of Japanese descent retained his title via unanimous decision. The scores were 117-111, 116-112 and 115-113.

Rafael should retire. His reflexes just aren't there anymore. Even with an injured shoulder, he was way more sharp against Juanma then he was in this fight. He can't compete at the top level of the sport anymore and if he stays active, the best he can be is a gate keeper. I love the Marquez brothers, and I don't want to see little Mario take a beating from guys he would've iced in his primeComment
