A fighter can not always look good. Barker was better than anyone thought. He had a good game plan but Martinez still won clearly and stopped him. It was just not that impressive but the other fights against Pavlik, Williams Dzinziruk were impressive. Baldomir was nothing more than a tough worker, but he had no skill and power. Sergie is a complete different fighter. But maybe age is finally showing up a little bit.

By Chris Williams: Undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. is rumored to be contemplating taking on WBC Diamond middleweight champion Sergio Martinez according to the latest boxing news gossip. If this is true, Mayweather will once again be taking a huge fight that Manny Pacquiao has failed to agree to.

Martinez has been after a fight with Pacquiao for the past years, and been largely ignored by Pacquiao’s promoters.
Mayweather fought Shane Mosley in 2010, after Mosley had been ignored by Pacquiao’s management for a fight. Mayweather recently defeated WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz, who also couldn’t get a fight with Pacquiao.

Martinex was unable to look anything spectacular with the tactics Barker employed. The fight was Pacquiao - Clottey all over again.

Martinez needs to fight Pirog and clean up from there.
