Chavez does not possess the same defense as Barker to implement that game plan and would eventually get KO'd in the early rounds trying to dig to the body.

I think Barker's success was based on Stick and Move. Foot Work and distance.
He got KO when he stopped moving.

C'mon, Chavez Jr has a worse defense than Barker, and also his footwork is just utter crap. He's very slow and doesn't has the skills that Barker showed in his fight against Martinez.

Barker is a more skilled fighter than Chavez Jr, especially when it comes to defense. Barker had a very solid peek a boo guard, while Chavez Jr showed that he has no defense at all against Zbik and he received a lot of hard shots against him (if Zbik had the punching power that Martinez had, he would've been KOd in less than 8 rounds)
