This is what he says right before breaking down.

"Economically and socially Argentina was going through a profound crisis. I was a young kid of 25/26 years that did not see a future. I didn't have hope for anything. Absolutely nothing. I'm not talking about boxing. I'm talking about every aspect of life. Every aspect that could be my life. I didn't have one single hope for anything."

Also, before, he talks about how he was a bit of a reserved loner for most of his childhood and early teen years. Probably explains his anti-bullying campaign.
