I seen a couple of posters saying Foreman caused him problems before the leg went out on Foreman but I don't remember it like that. I thought Cotto was clearly winning the fight on points before Foreman's leg went out.
Do you think Cotto had any problems with Foreman?

He lost a round. He was thoroughly outboxing Foreman all while adapting to Stewards style.
Foreman gave him zero trouble.Comment

People complain on how it wasn't a good win because:
a-) Foreman was feather-fisted
b-) Foreman was one-legged
Truth be told, Foreman is feather-fisted but it was Cotto's FIRST fight at 154. What did people expect? That he was going to jump up to 154 and go straight for the big dogs?
And secondly, Foreman's knee didn't start going bad until the sixth or seventh round. Even BEFORE that, Cotto was winning the rounds. Foreman pressed the action at the start of the 3rd if I'm not mistaken tagging Cotto with straight rights but Cotto wasn't being outboxed or anything. I didn't score it, but if I had to go off of memory, I'm pretty sure Foreman didn't win more than two rounds in that fight, and I might be being generous.Comment

Cotto threw a shutout vs Foreman.
Now, against Mayorga he ate every uppercut Mayorga threw. Margarito will have an uppercut fest on Oct 3rd though it should be a close fight.Comment

Cotto needs to learn to avoid Margaritos uppercut, its the punch that Margarito can hurt Cotto with. Margarito has good uppercuts and some nice body shots in his arsenal, while Cotto has a good jab and nice body shots in his arsenal aswell.Comment

No he didnt, Mayorga lande like 3 uppercuts in teh entire fight!!
Watch the fight again, cotto slipped all most all the punches Mayorga threw!!Comment

I watched it the other day and he did eat most of Mayorga's uppercut. Cotto has eaten uppecuts throughout his whole career, it's no secret that is his major weakness.Comment
